Leaf Collection 2024
The City of Xenia will be collecting leaves at the curb from November
12th through December 13th. The City is divided into two zones.
Zone 1 - Includes all areas north of Main
Street.
Zone 2 - Includes all areas south of Main Street.
**Main Street addresses will be picked up with Zone 1.
2024 Collection Dates
1st Round
Zone 1 - November 12th through November 15th
(Veteran's Day Observed on Nov. 11th).
Zone 2 - November 18th through November 22nd.
(There will not be any leaf collection the week of November 25th
-Thanksgiving Week)
2nd Round
Zone 1 - December 2nd through December 6th
Zone 2 - December 9th through December 13th
Leaf Collection can occur any day of the week your zone is scheduled.
Leaves need to be raked to the curb before the Monday of your scheduled pick up
week. Piles have to contain leaves only. Leafing equipment cannot pick up
sticks, limbs or trash. It is also important that cars are not parked in the
leaf pick up area.
Residents also have the option to recycle
leaves:
Greene County
Environmental Services (GCES): Residents may dispose
of brush, leaves and and yard waste at the GCES facility located at 2145 Greene
Way Boulevard in Xenia. Brush at the facility are ground into untreated mulch
and available free to Greene County residents on a self serve basis. Residents
are reminded of the following:
- Residents must unload their own
vehicles.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes
before closing so you can be unloaded by closing.
- Brush should be no longer than 4
feet and no greater than 4 inches in diameter.
Hours of operation at the
GCES are as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday: 1 to 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday and Sunday: Closed
