Honoring outstanding contributions by Xenia residents and
businesses, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce (XACC) is seeking nominations
for its annual awards to be presented at the XACC Annual Awards Dinner on
February 22, 2025.
"This year’s event marks the 75th Annual Chamber Awards Dinner and over those years there have been so many outstanding community members who have stepped up and made Xenia a better place to live, work and do business," says XACC President Donna Saraga. “We urge everyone to think about individuals and businesses who deserve to be recognized for all of their hard work and dedication by taking a few minutes to nominate them with an award submission.”
All nominations, she adds, must be submitted no later than
Dec. 13.
Any XACC member may nominate as many people/businesses as
they would like for each of the following awards. Nomination forms are
available on the XACC website at xacc.com and can now be completed online.
The XACC Awards are:
F.M Torrence Award: To honor a Chamber member for a
lifetime of promoting the business, culture, educational, religious, and civic
life in the Xenia community.
S.L. Stephan Award: To honor a Chamber member who has
promoted the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce and our community for at least the
past two years.
Russ Remick Retail – Service Award: To publicly
recognize a Chamber member company that has distinguished itself in the retail
or service industry.
Dodds Monument Industrial Award: To publicly
recognize a Chamber member company that has distinguished itself in
manufacturing, or in research and development or in distribution and
warehousing.
Barb Zajbel Xenia Ambassador Award: To honor an
individual, organization, or business--Chamber or non-Chamber member--who has
promoted Xenia locally, regionally, nationally, and/or internationally.
Sheriff Gene Fischer Hero Award: This award is
presented to a local First Responder, including: Law Enforcement, Firefighters,
EMTs, Healthcare Professionals, Search & Rescue and United States Veterans Retired
or Active-Duty individuals, in recognition of the difficult jobs they do to
keep us safe.
